59 - My Reaction When... - The Barista's Perspective, a (not so) caffeinated life

When it has been so busy at the coffee shop that I only get the chance to drink one cup of coffee and then it's time to go...

58 - The Least Effective Way to Start a Conversation with A Barista - The Barista's Perspective, a caffeinated life

None of the baristas or used-to-be baristas that I know have ever done this to me... This was just a random encounter.
I consider it a silly way to tell me how to make or fix your coffee. I don't care that a person used to be a barista. That doesn't matter. Tell me what you want, complain if you must, but don't use your experience as a barista to justify your complaining.

55 - Ribbit? - The Barista's Perspective, a caffeinated life

So, for anyone who has seen my recent Facebook status this comic will probably come as no surprise.
I have a stalker.
A frog stalker.
And I will make it awesome!
Stay tuned. And, the next one in this story may not come next week. I believe my one year comic anniversary is arriving soon!

51 - College Town - The Barista's Perspective, a caffeinated life comic

So, the plan is to move future comic posts to either Saturday nights or Sunday afternoon.
I think that will leave my Thursday nights free and I will be able to go to bed early and wake up in time for my 5:45am opening shift on Friday without being exhausted my entire 10 hour workday.
Yeah.
That's a plan.

50 - Kitty Crash - The Barista's Perspective, a caffeinated life comic

I mean, this has gotta be what she does when she goes crazy in the middle of the night and runs all over the house, right?

46 - Literally - The Barista's Perspective, a caffeinated life comic.

The coffee shop I work at is having a half-off sale for our customer appreciation day, today!
Sometimes I want to be a customer just to take advantage of the sales!!
So, if you're in town and want to come by, do! It's half-off all drinks. Drinks only. Does not apply to food or gift cards.
=)
Have a good Friday, everyone.

45 - A Boring and Exciting Comic - The Barista's Perspective, a caffeinated life

So, at first, this may not seem all that exciting, but this is my first pen like this and I don't want to put it down. Must draw everything...
...as tiny as I possibly can and, then, I need to purchase a scanner.

- Elise

P.S. I hope the humor is back for next week. I have had some crazy days this week.

44 - Sometimes THIS Happens - The Barista's Perspective, a caffeinated life comic

This was just as awkward for me, The Barista, as it was for them, the person  trying to order coffee through a pane of glass.

43 - It's Time to Meet Timmy - The Barista's Perspective, a caffeinated life comic

Meet Timmy by Elise

"Rawr," says Timmy.

Timmy hates all cats, except her best friend, Agotha.
She only lets Elise and Elise's mom pick her up.
She will scream if anyone else tries.
Timmy hates when people knock on the door. She growls at them to try and scare them away.
Timmy hates visiting Agotha's house. Too many cats. It wears on her having to hiss every second.
Timmy likes to show Elise who's boss by scratching up the couch, especially after long hugs.
Timmy thinks she's people.

Timmy loves Twinkies.
She loves them so much, she'll take Twinkie wrappers out of the garbage can and try to eat them.
Timmy also loves chicken, cotton candy (she likes best when Elise squishes it so it isn't fluffy),
and rice pudding. Oh, and shrimp.
Timmy loves watching big trucks drive by her house.
Tim falls asleep sitting up when she's in the window waiting for Elise to come home.
She loves to ride in cars.
Tim loves soft blankets and her toy mouskies.
She loves swallowing thread, whether it's on or off the spool.
Elise is pretty sure Tim swallowed a needle, once.
Timmy likes moths.
She likes using Elise as a ladder to get to the moths.
Ouch.
Timmy had a chance to eat a hamster, once, but chose not to.
Timmy is a good person.

42 - Enjoy the Sunshine - Happy Independence Day! The Barista's Perspective Comic

This is how the summer sunshine makes me feel.
But, it's okay, I'll still have fun.
I hope you do, too!

41 - Apparently, I'm not very good friends with myself - The Barista's Perspective

I guess this one might need a slight bit of explanation?
The point is, if I was able to travel in time and give myself coffee whenever I found myself in situations without coffee, I would be much better friends with myself.
I guess I need to work on that whole time travel thing while I'm doing my research on the whole teleportation thing. :)

38: The Swedish Fish Children - The Barista's Perspective, a caffeinated life comic

I got the idea for this one from my boyfriend. I think when he suggested I draw a Swedish Fish aquarium, this wasn't quite what he was thinking. But, still. Here it is. =D
- Elise
P.S. For those who don't know - Swedish Fish are little, red, fish-shaped gummy candies.

34 - Sleep Math - The Barista's Perspective - A caffeinated life comic

I wasn't late for work today but I did have a dream about customers showing up at work 40 minutes earlier than we usually open. And, of course, I was there.
I would open the window and make their coffee, then shut everything back up because I was like, "WAIT, it's only 5:05 in the morning, what are these people doing awake?"
I never questioned why I was there that early.

31 - What They Say, What I Do - A #Coffee #Webcomic

It's been a busy week. No time to add marker, but here's comic #31 for you! Maybe I'll have to sneak in an Easter one sometime this week. I've been super busy recently taking shifts for sick coworkers and visiting with my sister and my nephew who came up for Easter!

This one was a Christmas present, so it's not in my possession anymore... best picture I have.

#14

There was one time I asked a customer if she wanted a treat for her dog. She looked puzzled, then glanced behind her.
"Oh!" she said. "I hadn't realized she'd followed me!"

Obviously, the dog was coming for "coffee," as well.

#11 - Halloween

I have a small amount of experience with sais, but I'd forgotten how to hold them without chopping a finger off, or two, so I had to Google it. Horray for people who know how to hold a sai and post it online so I can draw comics about them.

#10 - I signed something... Like, for serious.

The first time someone stopped and asked me for directions, my tip jar was stolen by the asker.
Now I'm a little afraid every time someone stops to ask me for directions.

- Elise

P.S. I didn't actually sign anything. I'm just kidding. :)

25 - A little bit of an Awkward Penguin moment

This happened in real life. I started a conversation with someone, somehow convinced myself it was over, and walked away. I know, I'm awesome. Sigh. (Sorry, Jordan!)
